Please note that because spaces are limited, once you have booked your spot we are not able to refund you.
Katie invites you into her studio to learn how to hand build a set of 2-3 small vases out of clay. The first part of this workshop Katie will show you different hand building techniques and give you ideas about your vase design and you will choose to make between 2-3 small vases. The second part of the workshop you will use glazes to add colour and details to your vases.
This workshop is designed for beginners and is set in a relaxed studio environment. Katie loves to encourage creativity and no two pieces made in her class are the same.
Your vases will be the perfect size for one stem/ bud or a small posy of flowers.
The pottery you make in this workshop will be ready to collect in 4-6 weeks time.
All of Katie's workshops are hand building classes, which means they are not on the pottery wheel. This means that you are able to make pottery of a higher standard without having to practice for weeks on the wheel first.
This workshop is suitable for ages 12+
When? Saturday, April 18th, 10am-1pm
Where? Katie's pottery studio, located inside the Kaiapoi Mill, 35 Ranfurly Street, Kaiapoi.
What to bring? An apron if you have one.
Please note that because spaces are limited once you have booked there are no refunds, unless we can find someone else to take your spot. please consider gifting your spot to a friend if you can no longer make it.
You will get an email closer to the date with more information.
Sometimes pottery cracks in the kiln, this rarely happens but unfortunately it is a part of making pottery, if this happens we are not able to refund you. The best part of the workshop is the workshop itself and learning a new skill.
