Katie welcomes you into her studio for one of her most creative pottery workshops to date. She will show you how to make simple, mini figurines/ trinkets out of clay and then will teach you how to use undergalzes to give your figures detail.

Each person will be working on making their own individual trinkets. You can make 3-5 pieces each. If you come with an idea of what you want to make that would be fantastic, the possibilities are endless, from cats to cars, to aliens or even a cute blob.

This workshop is designed for beginners and is set in a relaxed studio environment. Katie loves to encourage creativity and no two pieces made in her class are the same.

The pottery you make in this workshop will be ready to collect in 4-6 weeks time. Katie has been working on some fun new glazes and will have a few different options for you to choose from including colourful glazes as well as  a couple of neutral toned glazes too. The glazes in the photos here are not necessarily the ones you will get to choose from as Katie likes to change up her glazes from time to time.

All of Katie's workshops are hand building classes, which means they are not on the pottery wheel. This means that you are able to make pottery of a higher standard without having to practice for weeks on the wheel first.

This workshop is suitable for ages 12+

When? Saturday March 22nd, 10am-12.30pm

Where? Katie's pottery studio, located inside the Kaiapoi Mill, 35 Ranfurly Street, Kaiapoi.

What to bring? An apron if you have one.

Please note that because spaces are limited once you have booked there are no refunds, unless we can find someone else to take your spot. please consider gifting your spot to a friend if you can no longer make it.

You will get an email closer to the date with more information.

Sometimes pottery cracks in the kiln, this rarely happens but unfortunately it is a part of making pottery, if this happens we are not able to refund you. The best part of the workshop is the workshop itself and learning a new skill.
