Cactus planter/ vase making workshop - June 21st

Katie invites you into her pottery studio to learn how to hand build a small cactus planter or vase out of clay. You will learn different hand building techniques as you create and sculpt your cactus creation.

Your planter/ vase will be approx 11cm tall and will be glazed with a glossy deep green glaze and fired twice in the kiln, ready for you to collect 4-6 weeks later.

This workshop is designed for beginners and is set in a relaxed studio environment. Katie loves to encourage creativity and no two pieces made in her class are the same.

All of Katie's workshops are hand building classes, which means they are not on the pottery wheel. This means that you are able to make pottery of a higher standard without having to practice for weeks on the wheel first.

This workshop is suitable for ages 12+

When? Saturday June 21st, 10am-12.30pm

Where? Katie's pottery studio, located inside the Kaiapoi Mill, 35 Ranfurly Street, Kaiapoi.

What to bring? An apron if you have one.

Sometimes pottery cracks in the kiln, this rarely happens but unfortunately it is a part of making pottery, if this happens we are not able to refund you. The best part of the workshop is the workshop itself and learning a new skill.
