Mother's Day Pottery Workshop - May 11th

Katie invites you into her studio on Mother's Day to learn how to make a set of three tiny pottery houses. Bring your mum along or come alone and treat yourself to some creativity on Mother's day. Fur mums and non mothers also welcome.

Choose between making three different houses or three of the same houses for a super cute addition to a shelf at home. Your houses will be approx 10cm tall.

Please note that this is the first time that I will be teaching this workshop, the photos shown on this page are houses that were made in another workshop and are quite a lot bigger. You may not be able to get quite as much detail on your tiny houses. Standard tealight candles may not fit underneath your houses.

Your houses will be glazed with a glossy coat of clear glaze to show off the white of the clay, it will then be fired twice in the kiln for you to pick up 4-6 weeks later. A piece of art you get to keep forever.

This workshop is designed for beginners and is set in a relaxed studio environment. Katie loves to encourage creativity and no two pieces made in her class are the same.

This workshop is suitable for ages 12+

When? Sunday May 11th, 10am-1pm

Where? Katie's pottery studio, located inside the Kaiapoi Mill, 35 Ranfurly Street, Kaiapoi.

What to bring? An apron if you have one.

Sometimes pottery cracks in the kiln, this rarely happens but unfortunately it is a part of making pottery, if this happens we are not able to refund you. The best part of the workshop is the workshop itself and learning a new skill.
