Make a set of dip bowls - March 21st

Katie invites you into her studio to learn how to make a set of small bowls. You can decide how to use the clay you are given to make between 2 - 5 bowls. These bowls will be the perfect size for serving dip or using to hold olives on a charcuterie board. You can even make them nest inside each other if you wish. 

Katie will fire and glaze your pieces in her kiln with a glaze of your choice. These bowls will be ready to collect again in 4-6 weeks time.

We will be using a hand building technique called pinching, for this technique it is best if you have short nails.

This workshop is designed for beginners and is set in a relaxed studio environment. Katie loves to encourage creativity and no two pieces made in her class are the same.

All of Katie's classes are handbuilding classes, which means they are not on the pottery wheel. Techniques used in these classes mean that you are able to make pottery of a higher standard without the need for practicing on a wheel

This workshop is suitable for ages 12+

When? Saturday March 21st, 10am-1pm

Where? Katie's pottery studio located inside the Kaiapoi Mill, 35 Ranfurly Street, Kaiapoi.

What to bring? An apron if you have one.

Sometimes pottery can crack in the kiln, if this happens to your bowls unfortunately we can not offer a refund for the class. The best part of the experience is the class itself.
