Christmas Tree making workshop - November 16th

This workshop is for those of you who love celebrating Christmas and Christmas crafting. Dust off your Christmas jumpers and earrings and come along to Katie's studio to make your very own ceramic Christmas tree. Katie will have her Christmas playlist on and you'll be sculpting your trees to the sweet sounds of Mariah Carey and Michael Bublé. 

Your sculptures will make the perfect center piece for your table, shelf or coffee table. A piece of Christmas art that you can keep forever and bring out each year to celebrate the holiday. Your tree will be approx. 15cm tall. 

You will learn how to make coils of clay and stack these coils on top of each other to create your tree. You can also add holes to your tree so that when you put a tealight candle underneath it, it will glow. 

Katie will have different coloured glazes for you to choose from. 

This workshop is designed for beginners and is set in a relaxed studio environment. Katie loves to encourage creativity and no two pieces made in her class are the same.

Your tree will be out of the kiln and ready to collect by the middle of December at the latest.

This workshop is suitable for ages 12+

When? Saturday November 16th, 10am-12pm

Where? Katie's pottery studio, located inside the Kaiapoi Mill, 35 Ranfurly Street, Kaiapoi.

What to bring? An apron if you have one.

Please note that because spaces are limited once you have booked there are no refunds, unless we can find someone else to take your spot. please consider gifting your spot to a friend if you can no longer make it.

Sometimes pottery can crack in the kiln, if this happens to your tree unfortunately we can not offer a refund for the class. The best part of the experience is the class itself.
