Katie invites you into her studio to learn how to make your very own candles. This workshop will take you through the process of candle making, you will learn step by step how to make candles from your own home. During this workshop you will each get 1L of wax to create your candles in the studio, choosing aroma profiles for each candle.

What you get;

IL creamy soy wax

Unlimited wicks and aromas to use in your candles.

Notes to take home so that you can recreate candle making in your own home.

One of Katie's handmade pottery vessels (which holds 250ml) to create one of your candles in.

Access to Katie's expert candle making knowledge (Before Katie started making pottery she was making candles).

What you need to bring;

Your own candle containers, whether you bring in your old candle containers to reuse or get thrifty and go to the opshop to find some fun vessels for your candles (thicker glass vessels and pottery are best with a diameter at the top of no less than 4cm). You can use the 1L of wax however you like, make 10x 100ml candles, 4x 250ml candles etc. You will need to measure the volume of each vessel (and write it down) before you bring them to the workshop.

The aromas you will be using in your candles are fragrances as opposed to essential oils. If you would like to use essential oils in your candles feel free to bring your own from home. You will need 5% essential oil/ wax volume. For example, if you want to make a 200ml candle you will need 10ml of essential oils.

Please note that candles need to cure overnight, so you will have to come back to the studio to collect your candles.

This workshop is suitable for ages 12+

Katie will have tea, coffee and hot chocolate for you on the night but feel free to bring something stronger with you if you prefer.
