Planter making workshop - January 18th
Planter making workshop - January 18th
One space left!
Katie invites you into her pottery studio to learn how to hand build a small planter and dish for your planter to sit on out of clay. She will show you different techniques on how you can customise and decorate your planter to suit your home and your plant.
Your planter will be approx 11cm tall and will be glazed with a colour of your choice and fired twice in the kiln, ready to collect 4-6 weeks later. Your planter can be used inside or outside.
This workshop is designed for beginners and is set in a relaxed studio environment. Katie loves to encourage creativity and no two pieces made in her class are the same.
All of Katie's workshops are hand building classes, which means they are not on the pottery wheel. This means that you are able to make pottery of a higher standard without having to practice for weeks on the wheel first.
This workshop is suitable for ages 12+
When? Saturday January 18th, 10am-12.30pm
Where? Katie's pottery studio, located inside the Kaiapoi Mill, 35 Ranfurly Street, Kaiapoi.
What to bring? An apron if you have one.
Please note that because spaces are limited once you have booked there are no refunds, unless we can find someone else to take your spot. please consider gifting your spot to a friend if you can no longer make it.
You will get an email closer to the date with more information.
Sometimes pottery cracks in the kiln, this rarely happens but unfortunately it is a part of making pottery, if this happens we are not able to refund you. The best part of the workshop is the workshop itself and learning a new skill.
