Jewelry dishes with pressed flowers workshop - March 22nd

Katie invites you into her studio to learn how to hand build jewelry dishes out of clay, emboss with flowers and foliage as well as glaze with colours. Your dishes will also get a coat of clear glossy glaze and be fired twice in the kiln. A piece of art you get to keep forever!

You will make three jewelry dishes out of white stoneware clay that will be approx 10cm diameter. 

Katie will have herbal tea for you to sip on while you get creative with your floral designs. You are encouraged to bring along some of your own flowers and foliage from your garden, to make your dishes even more special.

This workshop is designed for beginners and is set in a relaxed studio environment. Katie loves to encourage creativity and no two pieces made in her class are the same.

The dishes you make in this workshop will be ready to collect in 4-6 weeks time.

This workshop is suitable for ages 12+

When? Wednesday March 22nd, 6.30pm-9pm

Where? Katie's pottery studio, located inside the Kaiapoi Mill, 35 Ranfurly Street, Kaiapoi.

What to bring? An apron if you have one.
