Fun vase making workshop - June 18th

Join Katie in her pottery studio and make your own fun pottery vase. During this workshop you will each design and build a medium sized vase (approx 15cm tall) out of white stoneware clay. Katie will demonstrate how to make your piece using a technique called slab building. Your vase will be glazed with a glossy coat of clear glaze and fired twice in the kiln to be picked up 5-7 weeks after the workshop.

There is also an option to take home colorful glazes (at an extra cost) with your piece so that you can decorate it at home after at least a day of drying. You will then need to bring it back to be fired twice in the kiln.

This workshop is designed for beginners and is set in a relaxed studio environment. Katie loves to encourage creativity and no two pieces made in her class are the same.

This workshop is suitable for ages 12+

When? Sunday June 18th, 10am-12.30pm

Where? Katie's pottery studio, located inside the Kaiapoi Mill, 35 Ranfurly Street, Kaiapoi.

What to bring? An apron if you have one.
