Christmas Tree center piece making workshop November 19th 10am

Katie invites you into her studio to learn how to make a ceramic Christmas tree center piece for your table, shelf or coffee table. A piece of Christmas art that you can keep forever and bring out each year to celebrate the holiday. Your tree will be approx. 15cm tall. 

During this workshop Katie will put on her Christmas playlist and we will celebrate the lead up to December together. You will learn how to make coils of clay and stack these coils on top of each other to create your tree. You can also decorate your tree with tiny handmade decorations and a star on top if you like. You can also add holes to your tree so that when you put a tealight candle underneath it, it will glow. 

Katie will have different coloured glazes for you to choose from including a dark green, white, pink and most likely a few others colours too. 

This workshop is designed for beginners and is set in a relaxed studio environment. Katie loves to encourage creativity and no two pieces made in her class are the same.

Your tree will be out of the kiln and ready to collect from Katie's studio by December 9th.

This workshop is suitable for ages 12+

When? Sunday, November 19th, 10am-12pm

Where? Katie's pottery studio, located inside the Kaiapoi Mill, 35 Ranfurly Street, Kaiapoi.

What to bring? An apron if you have one.

Please note that because spaces are limited once you have booked there are no refunds, unless we can find someone else to take your spot. please consider gifting your spot to a friend if you can no longer make it.

Sometimes pottery can crack in the kiln, if this happens to your tree unfortunately we can not offer a refund for the class. The best part of the experience is the class itself.
